I went to see the new Transformers movie  with my little sister and my brother the other day. I dont like action films, only James Bond's because well.. he's James Bond and he's a spy, anyhow i already knew this movie was going to be bad. I only kinda liked the first one because i like transformers and.. yeah, just that. 

And well, as expected the movie was over 2 hours of especial effects,  Good Robots fight Bad Robots, the overuse of that spinning camera thing, more robots, a Species-like robot chic who was completely unnecesary (most things in that movie were), Megan Fox, more robots and Linkin Park.

But the thing that really pissed me off is not:

a) the fact that you can resume the story in 3 lines or less.

b) that the whole movie revolves around Megan Fox's boobs.

c)  those stupid robot twins.

d) that the people from the cinema didnt give me my money back.

the part that really pissed me off is when Optimus Prime asks for Sam's help to save the world and he gives the 'i want to be normal' speech. DUDE, some Alien/Robot/truck comes for your help and the promise of eternal glory AND you'll get to hangout with more aliens/robots/cars and you rather stay in school?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?

*breath*. Even my brother didnt like it, and he does like action films, that's a lot to say. Anyway.. at least those first 30 seconds of the old jet were funny. Oh and that part when the  evil robot chic gets in Sam's car aka Bumblebee and he plays the song from 'Jaws' (you know since he comunicate with songs), that was funny too... but other than that the movie is boring. i think the 'Ice Age' trailer was more entertaining. Summer will bring better movies that you can go see with the money you could save for not going to watch this crap.

That's it. i just wanted to share that.

Oh yes and they go to Egypt. Awesome right?

We got a new puppy. Her name is Bagheera, yes like the black panther in the Jungle Book, why? because she's black!!! damn im so clever.

this was her first day at the beach, you can tell my brother is excited because we have 2 other dogs and they both HATE water but she loves it! :D

Now. Science fair. There is an annual science fair organized by the UNAM, THE most important university in latin america and guess what? our project about seaturtles was a finalist, that means it was chosen among many others  projects from all over the country. why? Let's face it, seaturtles are bad ass.  BUT since the fair  was CANCELLED due to the epidemy alert we didnt even get the chance to compete. And there goes my last chance to win this shit. THANK YOU SWINE FLU.

On April we have this thing.. erm Holy Week? i don't know it has  something to do with religion and im not very religious, the point is some local artist always make sand sculptures based on the current holiday or something like that.. i think it's pretty cool.

Last days of school high school.

i didn't pay much attention in english class, because i know talk english yes? pollito-chicken, gallina-hen, lapiz-pencil y pluma-pen.

On may 10th we took flowers for my greatgrandmother to the Panteon because
 of Mother's Day. Small town's graveyards in Mexico are a mess, but they have their own charm i guess. i like them.

and i spied and outdoor bathroom in the roof of the house across the street... interesting location.

Of course school was a bitch towards the end but not everything was work..

..i had fun times too. Me and my classmates went to this park one day after school and played and have fun like little children. It was really cool cause we all got to hang out together and forget about school, at least for a while.

Here in Mexico we don't exactly have a prom, you know the dance and stuff SSOOOO we, well my friends..erm.. well someone decided we were having a graduation dinner/party and we, well my friends chosed this fancy restaurant with  a pretty nice view.

the best part is that we got a ride in.. one of those things, i don't know what they're called in english.. maybe i should've paid more attention in english class...

i've been taking walks to clear my head and relax in order to recover my face, i've seen many squirrels but this one was nice enough to let me snap a shot before running away as if i was trying to steal her nuts.

Last Saturday i went to a golf match, oddly enough i don't like golf, but my dad got tickets and it was a big match because both golfist are important in this sport and bla bla bleh. Lorena Ochoa (Mexico) Vs. Paula Creamer (U.S.), red  and pink respectively. One thing i learned that day is that GOLF IS BORING.

i 'adopted' an Iguana too. i was stalking her/him this morning and i decided to invite her/him to live here and i gave her/him a banana. She/He ate it, that means she/he's mine now. But since im a really cool owner i wont cage her/him and she/he will be able to come and go freely as long as she/he stills eats my bananas.

I've been waiting for rain for a while now. Mother nature pleased me with a soon-to-be-huracan Tropical Storm. thank you mother nature. thank you.

Of course the media has been all over it since Felipe Calderon, president of Mexico, made the official announcement  thursday night, meanwhile some interesting laws were approved:

• The legalization of drugs for personal use (marihuana, opius, LSD, cocaine, heroine among others) that's not so bad, i don't really understand how it helps to fight narcotraffic though.
• Government legal intervation of internet, phone lines and other personal information (= goodbye privacy) to prevent delictive behavior
• Undercover police operations are legal now, which could also mean 'people can pretend to be cops, commit a crime and get aways with it'.

 All this with the purpose of 'modernizing' the police system for the sake of national security (not that we now what that is anyway).  Another subject that was left out because of all the caos is the  what happened during the visit of presindent of the United States, Barack Obama. There are rumors about some kinda of treaty that allows US army to get in mexican territory and eventually take over the country..... aha.

I do believe the media is giving the swine flu waaaay to much coverage, (im talking about 4-hour special tv programs to say the same thing over and over again.) But is the government really putting up this kind of show to keep people in their homes, 'scare and unaware' while they go all crazy and do whatever they want. Is this all part of 'the plan' to create a massive paranoia attack  in the country?,  arent conspiracy theories just as paranoid?. 

It actually never ocurred to me the government would do something like this, at least not right now. Every flight to mexico has been cancelled, other countries don't want to ear our pigs anymore, people are losing their jobs, and on top of all that we got a loan from the IMF, yes mucho mucho money to deal with the whole situation, as if we didnt have a GIANORMIC external debt already. Seriously are we really that stupid? Maybe we are, maybe it's true and we're being fooled. OR maybe we really are in the middle of a pandemy, after all the World Health Organization has confirmed it too and i really doubt Mexico has the power to make the WHO lie.

So what am i supposed to believe? Am i supposed to believe anything at all? It this is all a lie, how do we prove it? And then what? And if this is really happening and we aren't taking enough precautions? are we overreacting? Is is too much? or are we making the right decisions?

So.. a while ago i saw this video where a band performed an interesting dance in underwear, i thought it was funny.. kinda. Even though i don't like their music it seemed cool that they didn't take themselves too seriously. Then i realized the weren't the only one doing that, i was in the middle of 'we-are-cool-bands-making-fun-of-ourselves-because-that-is-so-awesome-we-dont-have-to-worry-about-the-music' invasion. 

Yes,  bands like H2O! , Forever the Sickest Parade, Mayday Kids, All Time Cab and The Low Station; bands that i don't want to say the name of but already did, these bands are the same. Yes, in case you haven't notice, they look the same, dress the same, AND sound the same..

They all contain at least one of the following ingredients:

WARNING. if you like any of this bands, that's fine. this is just my very personal opinion and way to kill time.(that means i don't want any 'WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MUSIC, I HATE YOU). i'm open to dialogue.

My friends and i had a "Posada", which is something like a typical party for this time of the year.

Dulce's parents were kind enough the let us make the posada at their house, which is really cool cause Dulce has a kick-ass house.

we also celebrate Melina and Katherine's birthday :D and the guy is Alex being creepy.

And that's pretty much it. Food, presents, music and piñatas haha. Christmas is almost here and i don't know if i'm excited, i'm not trying to be a grinch here but.. i don't know. it's not that i don't like Christmas, i'm just not looking forward to it. :/

First of all, let's forget about the book and pretend Twilight is just another movie (the screenwritter didn't do that).

Since i saw the trailers and clips i was expecting a very mediocre movie so i wasn't really surprised, i was hoping for some dazzle though, that didn't happen. Everything goes so fast there's not a real story, just a lot of scenes that might be trying to be a movie, but not really.. One of my friends, who didn't read the book, was like: 'Wait, who is he?', 'What are they talking about?', 'How do they get there?' and i don't blame her, i think i only understood what was going on because i read the book. This movie was strictly made for people who read the book and fans of the series, otherwise you'll be lost.

Now, he might be 'cute', but Robert Pattinson CAN'T ACT at all, sorry. At least not this role. Edward had the same expression the whole movie, my pillow shows more emotion! AND JASPER!!! xD he looked like he had a stick up his ass all the time, oh i know,  it was so hard for him to be around Bella because he's still struggling to be 'vegetarian', well they never said that during the movie, they never explain anything about the Cullens, 'oh no! why waste time building a story? let's just show Bella and Edward climbing some trees, that would be more fun!'.

The dialogue is so lame! Most of the time there's no dialogue at all, just phrases from the book and Edward and Bella staring at each other. And the especial effects! are you serious? WHERE WAS THE DAZZLE?!?!! I remember i read a comment about that.. it was something like " i don't know what they're gonna do with the meadow scene but i doubt they just make Robert Pattinson roll over glitter", well i think they actually did.

Just to make it shorter: the movie is plain bad and pathetic. And i could ignore the especial effects and that kind of stuff because of the low-budget issues, but still! the screenplay is shitty as hell. And for me there are two kinds of shitty movies: the ones that are so bad, they're even funny and the ones that are SOOO BAD, you feel sorry for the people involved. Twilight is a little bit of both.

Anyway.. that's just me. What do you think? Loved it, hate it? Why?
